What is Forum 21?
Challenges, Choices and Resources in the 21st Century
In the 21st Century, information, understanding and tolerance are more important than ever before.
Therefore, each year, Forum 21 invites some 200 eclectic, accomplished, curious, interesting and congenial people from many disciplines, cultures and countries to share the latest thinking in their fields and their views of the world. In a weekend designed to emulate the 18th Century French Salons we share ideas and perspectives in order to transcend professional, social, intellectual and cultural boundaries. Our objective is to promote international understanding by building continuing personal international relationships.
Life, is a series of choices, some made in the moment, some made thoughtfully, some made by accident, some thrust upon us, some made by default. Forum 21 seeks to build a network of civil minded people who can exchange information, views and opinions, and help us all make better choices.
Forum 21 emphasizes people, not topics. Topics change, people endure. Accordingly, the conference program is not finalized until after the participants and their interests and areas of expertise are known. Participants gather in a series of English language discussion groups, led by fellow participants, to consider a range of social and cultural issues emerging from the challenge of the new century.
Prepare to be provoked!
Prepare to form new opinions!
Prepare to meet extraordinary people!
Prepare to enjoy it
